Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 lb. ground pork
- 3 large egg
- 3/4 cup Italian-flavored bread crumbs, (up to 1 cup)
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup Carando® Pepperoni Slices
- 1/2 cup (2 oz.) shredded mozzarella cheese
Preparation
- Heat gas or charcoal grill to medium. Combine ground meat, eggs, breadcrumbs, ketchup, Parmesan cheese, onion, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, parsley, Italian seasoning, pepper and salt in large bowl; mix well. Gradually add milk until mixture is a consistency that can be shaped into burger patties.
- Divide and form meat mixture into 16 thin patties. Place 2 to 3 pepperoni slices and 1 tablespoon mozzarella on top of 8 burger patties. Place remaining 8 patties on top of the filling. Gently press the patties together, pinching edges together all the way around, forming 8 stuffed burgers.
- Grill stuffed burgers over medium heat approximately 15 minutes, turning every 5 minutes (being careful not to press or flatten the burgers), until internal temperature reaches 160°F. Serve on your favorite bun or roll.
