Italian Sausage Bake

Ingredients
- 8 oz. (3 1/2 cups) Mastaccioli or other tubular pasta
- 1 (16-oz.) pkg. Carando® Sweet Italian Sausage
- 1 (26-oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
- 1 1/2 cups (6 oz.) shredded mozzarella cheese
Preparation
- Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and set aside.
- Slice sausage into 1/2-inch pieces. Cook in large skillet over medium high heat approximately 10 minutes or until sausage is browned and no longer pink inside; Drain. Stir in spaghetti sauce.
- Place half the pasta into 3-quart microwave-safe casserole. Top with half the sausage mixture and half the cheese. Repeat layers ending with cheese.
- Microwave on HIGH (100% power) for 10 minutes, rotating casserole after 5 minutes, until heated through. Microwave times will vary.
Notes
- To use conventional oven, bake at 350°F. for 35 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
